Quantiflo
The Solution
QuantiFlo is the new way of finding air leaks into vacuum systems. Using quantitative air flow measurement equipment, QuantiFlo can determine the precise air flows to and from steam condensers and accurately determine the source of the in-leakage.
High levels of air ingress in steam turbine condensers is one of the major causes of avoidable losses in commercial power generation, reducing turbine efficiency and causing increased fuel costs and higher flue gas emissions at fossil fuel stations
QuantiFlo is a system for measuring the flow of air or any other non-condensible gas either within a vacuum or pressurized system or into a vacuum system. It is most commonly used to carry out air ingress surveys on steam condensers.

The system is based on the use of a tracer gas, usually helium, and flows are measured by determining the amount of helium in a sample drawn from the vacuum system.
